Electricity is the most widely used form of energy, ranging from miniature batteries in your wristwatch to large arc furnaces for melting steel. It's important to understand electricity's basic safety principles to see how to use it wisely and safely. Many people are unaware of the potential electrical hazards present in their work environment, which makes them more vulnerable to the danger of electrocution. It poses more risks to those people who work on it.
The electrical layout of construction site is of temporary nature and complex. Although Electrical cables are laid underground, during excavations they are likely to get damaged at any time and cause an electrical shock or fire. Electrical safety in construction site, therefore, assumes paramount importance and needs to be addressed effectively through training and strict inspections.
